Andre Moore (1984-87) was one of the most prolific scorers and rebounders ever to wear the Maroon and Gold and became the third member of the 1984-85 squad to be inducted into the Loyola Athletics Hall of Fame, joining Alfredrick Hughes and Andre Battle.
En route to 1987 Midwestern Collegiate Conference Player of the Year honors, Moore contributed 20.6 points and 12.4 rebounds per game.
During his three-year career with the Ramblers, the Chicago native and Carver High School graduate produced 16.5 ppg and 10.9 rpg, while shooting 51.9 percent (597-for-1,150) from the field, and he was an integral part of two MCC regular-season championship teams (1985 and 1987).
The 6-foot-9 center averaged 11.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg in 1984-85 to help Loyola to a 27-6 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16.
A three-time All-MCC pick, Moore was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 1987 NBA Draft.
After tallying 2.4 ppg and 1.4 rpg in his brief NBA career, Moore flourished as a professional player in the National Basketball League in Australia, where he still resides today.
