Loyola University Chicago Athletics

A standout on the Loyola cross country/track and field squad from 1986-90, Fomby helped the men's program to back-to-back MCC cross country titles in 1986 and 1987 and collected All-MCC accolades in 1988. 
 
Fomby, who hails from suburban Hanover Park, Ill., was an All-America selection in 1989 as a member of the Ramblers' 4x800 relay team that owned the sixth-fastest time in the nation. A two-time champion in the 800m at the MCC Indoor Championships (1989, 1990), Fomby also held school records in both the indoor and outdoor 800m run.
