RALEIGH, N.C. – Loyola Chicago track delivered a series of strong performances across two meets Friday, led by top-3 finishes and personal-best efforts at the Raleigh Relays and SLU Speed/Power Festival.
At the Raleigh Relays, Roisin Treacy recorded a 10th-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase, crossing in 10:16.13.
Eileen Seebon placed 12th in the 5K with a time of 17:07.91.
At the SLU Speed/Power Festival, Francesco Benelli led the Ramblers in the men's 1,500m with a third-place finish and won his heat, clocking a personal-best 4:00.14.
Woody Jerome and Kyle Knutson followed with times of 4:20.61 and 4:20.82, respectively. Dylan Ybarra rounded out the group in 4:28.22.
On the women's side, Pippa Carcas led the way for Loyola with a runner-up finish in 4:40.09. Sammy Mason followed closely behind in third place, clocking 4:41.06. Jacquelyn Kowalewski won her heat in 4:42.79.
Lindsey Kiehl placed 12th overall in 4:47.28, while Ali Gillooly took fourth in her heat in 4:48.02. Jo Collins notched a personal best of 4:48.45 to finish fifth in the same heat.
Priscilla Ravera (4:52.74) and Claire Blotnik (4:53.37) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in their heat followed by McKenzie Willard in sixth at 4:54.89.
Barbara Neiva crossed next in seventh (4:55.76), with Mackenzie Armstrong (4:58.02) and Frances Perry (4:58.47) placed 10th and 12th.
Angy Salado Fernandez finished in 5:02.24, and Kayla Schmidt rounded out the group with a time of 5:14.93.
In the women's 400m, Natalya Kuchenbuch clocked a 1:04.37.
Action continues tomorrow at the Raleigh Relays.
