How It Happened
The Ramblers came out cold Friday night, letting the Wildcats jump ahead 7-4 ahead of the first media timeout. Davidson's hot shooting continued with a 7-0 run over the next minute and a half to force a Loyola timeout. Justin Moore snapped the scoreless stretch with Loyola's second field goal of the game with 12:21 to play.

Parker Friedrichsen answered with three consecutive threes for the Wildcats who went up by 20 near the midway point. Loyola's bench tried to spark some offense. Daniil Glazkov scored five straight points for the Ramblers, while Nic Anderson drained a corner three with just under seven to go. Xavier Amos scored five unanswered, and Rubin was found inside for two late dunks, but Loyola had no answer for Davidson who led at the break, 47-29.

The Wildcats only outscored the Ramblers by two in the second half as Loyola found a better rhythm. Rubin struck first in the half before Davidson's lead grew back to 21. The Ramblers couldn't get the deficit under 17, and the Wildcats took their largest lead of the game on a three with 9:19 to play, 66-42. Despite some back-and-forth action, Davidson won, 84-64.
