BRONX, N.Y. - The Loyola Chicago women's basketball team erased a 10-point second-half deficit and relied on a strong defensive effort to defeat Fordham, 47-42, on the road Wednesday night at Rose Hill Gym, extending its winning streak to five games.
With the win, Loyola sits in fourth place in the Atlantic 10.
The Ramblers improved to 11-11 overall and 7-4 in A-10 play, placing two players in double figures. Alexus Mobley led all scorers with 17 points on 6-for-7 shooting while adding four rebounds and two steals. Alexa Kinas followed with 14 points, seven assists and a game-high five steals.

"We got a gritty win against Fordham," head coach Allison Guth said. "I thought they outcompeted us for much of the first three quarters, but our effort late in the third really stood out as we started stringing together possessions and slowed them down with a matchup zone.
"Alexus Mobley was locked in from start to finish. It wasn't just her 17 points — it was her rebounding and defense. We fed off her energy and also got strong defensive minutes off the bench from Nevaeh Dickman."
