VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Loyola Chicago track closed out competition at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships with multiple podium performances and personal-best efforts Saturday inside the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Colby Revord led Loyola in the men's mile, placing third overall in 4:14.81. Dylan Ybarra finished sixth in his heat in 4:31.68, while Kyle Knutson took seventh in the same heat in 4:33.04.
On the women's side, Maggie Powers paced the Ramblers with a ninth-place finish in 4:59.88. Leah Klapatauskas placed 14th overall in 5:04.49. Jo Collins recorded a personal-best 5:07.49 to take sixth in her heat, and Frances Perry crossed third in her heat in 5:15.94.
In the 800-meter final, James Howell secured a third-place finish in a personal-best 1:51.22. Miguel Abaitua followed closely behind in fourth at 1:51.27.
Nate Boutin added a runner-up performance in the men's 3,000 meters, finishing second in 8:19.16. Eugene Niox-Chateau placed eighth in 8:25.34, Francesco Benelli took ninth in 8:26.50 and Izak Bibile finished 13th in 8:33.87.
Roisin Treacy earned a podium spot in the women's 3,000 meters, finishing second overall in 9:30.24. Sammy Mason (10:18.58), Priscilla Ravera (10:19.75) and Mackenzie Armstrong (10:28.41) also competed for Loyola.
The women's 4x800-meter relay team of Lindsey Kiehl, Natalya Kuchenbuch, Perry and Collins placed 10th in 9:30.13, recording the 10th-fastest time in program history.
With the two-day meet complete, Loyola totaled multiple podium finishes and personal records as it concluded competition in Virginia Beach.
