Post-Game Quotes
Milwaukee 66, Loyola 57
February 10, 2011

Loyola Head Coach Jim Whitesell

Opening Statement
"You have to give congratulations to Milwaukee. Defensively they really got up in us and we just didn't react well. We couldn't get anything going on the offensive end. We had a poor start to the game. We thought we had a couple chances to get it under double-digits and every time it seemed like we had momentum we seemed to not convert or turn it over. Their defense got up in us and they were the aggressor tonight."

On opening game with a slow start
"I think of our first six possessions three of them were turnovers. Then we missed two free throws. Our first 10 possessions we only got four shots off and one basket. That puts you in a tough situation."

Loyola senior guard Terrance Hill

On mentally hanging in after tough start
"It is not really tough as an individual. It's tough as a team, but for me you've just always got to keep going, staying with it. You got to keep playing."

Loyola senior forward Andy Polka

On hanging in after a tough start
"We took their punch instead of punching back. I think any time you're in a hole like that you have to burn so much more energy to get back into the game. Every time you catch up, you have to give that much more energy to get back into a game."

On his double-double performance and being an aggressor tonight
"Guys were getting me the ball in the right spots. We always have T (Terrance Hill) and Geoff (McCammon) on the floor and they are such good shooters, it's hard for teams to help out with that. Guys just gave me the ball in the right spots."
