Carlee Schuhmacher

Former North Carolina State star Carlee Schuhmacher is set to begin her second season with the Loyola University Chicago women's basketball program.  Schuhmacher serves as a graduate assistant.

Schuhmacher, who played one year professionally in Malta following college, enjoyed an impressive two-year stay in Raleigh, N.C.  The Watertown, Wis. native was a mainstay in head coach Wes Moore's lineup as she started in 59 of her 64 appearances.  Schuhmaher averaged a career-high 7.9 points as a junior, helping lead the Wolfpack to the third round of the WNIT.  She followed that up with another strong senior campaign that was highlighted by a career-best 16-point performance in a three-overtime road win at Pittsburgh.

Prior to arriving at North Carolina State, Schuhmacher began her collegiate career at Des Moines Area Community College.  During her stay with the Bears, she was named a two-time All-American selection.  Schuhmacher closed her time at the school as the program's single-season leader in both points scored (522) and total rebounding average (11.4 rpg).

Schuhmacher, who currently resides in Chicago, graduated from North Carolina State in 2016 with a degree in social work.  She is currently pursuing her Master's in social work and gender & women's studies at Loyola.
