CHICAGO -- Loyola Chicago men's volleyball head coach
Shane Davis signed Ohio State transfer Stanislaw Chacinski, who will join the Ramblers in fall 2026. The 6-foot-7 outside hitter totaled 264 kills and 3.46 points per set in his sophomore season with the Buckeyes.
Hailing from Warsaw, Poland, Chacinski is one of four incoming international student-athletes on Loyola's roster. He notched a career-high 22 kills at Southern California (Jan. 30) and matched his career-high five blocks against Lindenwood (April 11). The junior transfer surpassed 500 career kills at Ball State and helped lead Ohio State to a 14-12 overall finish, including a 9-7 ledger in Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) play. He recorded 14 matches with double-digit kills on a .245 hitting clip.
In his debut season, Chacinski was named the MIVA Newcomer of the Year and earned All-Conference First Team honors, as well as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention. He started all 29 matches, registering at least 10 kills in 21 of them, and ended the season with 40 aces, good for second on the team. He earned Academic All-MIVA honors in 2025.
As a member of the Polish Junior National Team, Chacinski competed in three European Championships (2021, 2022, 2024) and represented his home country at the FIVB Men's U21 World Championships in 2025. He played club volleyball for MOS Wola Tramwaje Warszawskie and STS Olimpia Sulecin.
