CHICAGO -- Loyola Chicago fell 7-0 to No. 16/17 Washington on Tuesday, March 24 at Loyola Softball Park. Junior pitcher Brooke Steinhorst (2-6) got the ball to start and took the loss for the Ramblers, who are 12-17 overall after the loss. In the batter's box, junior infielder Liz Sedakis paced Loyola, going 2-for-3 with a double.

How It Happened
Steinhorst and the Ramblers' defense held the Huskies scoreless through the fourth inning. Washington got the scoring started in the fifth with a homerun then tacked on five more in the next frame after a grand slam and another homer. Loyola managed zero chances in the shutout, going 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.
