Ramblers fall at La Salle

Loyola Chicago drops 70-57 decision despite three players in double figures

PHILADELPHIA - Alexus Mobley tallied a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Kira Chivers scored 11 points in the final regular-season game of their careers, but Loyola Chicago dropped a 70-57 decision at La Salle on Saturday.

"I'll tell you, the biggest positive today was Kira Chivers," said Loyola Chicago Head Coach Allison Guth. "She played with the energy and effort of a senior who was willing to put the team on her back and try to carry us to the finish line. That's the standard we're capable of. We know we have another level to reach, especially in February as we prepare for March and the A-10 tournament. Our focus now is making sure we bring that energy and inspiration every time out."

The Ramblers (13-16, 9-9 Atlantic 10) placed three players in double figures. Mobley led the way with 13 points and 10 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass. Alex-Anne Bessette added 13 points, while Kira Chivers chipped in 11.

Loyola grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and converted them into eight second-chance points. The Ramblers assisted on 76 percent of their made field goals and totaled 17 points in the paint.
