NEU-ULM, Germany — Former Rambler Sitori Van Buren has signed her first professional contract with BBU '01 Damen 1, the club announced. The organization, based in the Ulm/Neu-Ulm region near the border of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, competes in the Damen-Basketball-Bundesliga, Germany's top women's professional league.
Over five seasons with Loyola University Chicago, Van Buren established herself as one of the program's most consistent two-way players, appearing in nearly every game of her career while serving as a defensive anchor and dependable scorer. She eclipsed 1,000 career points, ranked among team and conference leaders in blocks across multiple seasons, and recorded numerous double-doubles.
A strong rebounder and rim protector, Van Buren earned Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman honors, multiple College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections, and Atlantic 10 All-Academic recognition. She finished her final season leading the team in offensive rebounds and blocks and concluded her Loyola career with 778 rebounds, the second-most in program history.
Van Buren becomes the sixth Rambler to sign a professional contract under head coach Allison Guth and the 10th since 2010. She joins a distinguished group of Loyola alumnae to play professionally, including Thoranna Kika Hodge-Carr, Naelle Bernard, Sam Galanopoulos, Emma Nolan, Sophia Nolan, Troy Hambric, Taylor Manuel, Bre Hampton-Bey and Allison Day.
