Loyola Chicago Announces Spring Slate, Opens Season at Hawaii

CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago men's volleyball released its 2026 competition schedule, highlighted by 14 home matches inside Gentile Arena, nine true road contests and two neutral site matchups against national powerhouses.

The Ramblers open their season with a two-match trip to Hawaii, taking on the Rainbow Warriors on January 8 and 9 in Honolulu; both matches start at 7 p.m. Central Time.

Loyola heads to Phoenix to continue its early nonconference schedule for a pair of matches against Stanford (Jan. 17) and UCLA (Jan. 18). The Ramblers return to Chicago for a four-match homestand, welcoming Pepperdine (Jan. 23), Quincy (Jan. 24), Manhattan (Jan. 30) and UC San Diego (Jan. 31).

Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) play begins on the road with visits to Lindenwood (Feb. 4) and McKendree (Feb. 6) before Loyola hosts in-state rival Lewis on February 12. The team wraps nonconference play in a matinee home meeting versus Rockhurst (Feb. 14). A league match against new MIVA foe Northern Kentucky fills out February.

March features a heavy home slate, as the Ramblers host Ohio State, Ball State, Purdue Fort Wayne and a two-match series with Queens between March 1-14. Loyola then hits the road for rematches at Ohio State (March 19), Northern Kentucky (March 21) and Lewis (March 26).

The regular season concludes with four MIVA contests in April – home matches against McKendree (April 2) and Lindenwood (April 4), followed by road tilts at Purdue Fort Wayne (April 9) and Ball State (April 11).

Postseason play begins with the MIVA Tournament April 18-25, and the NCAA Championships slated for May 1-11.
