Loyola Chicago Draws at No. 20 Saint Louis, 1-1

SAINT LOUIS – Sophomore forward Jadyn Harris scored her first career goal at the third minute of the first half to secure the Ramblers' first point against a Top 25 team since 2019 when they drew, 1-1, against then-No. 16 Wisconsin in extra time.

"We played Rambler soccer for 90 minutes against a very tough Saint Louis team. We were gritty, we were tough, and we made good decisions on both sides of the ball. We build off of this and continue to take it one day at a time," said head coach Angela Staveskie.

The Ramblers are now 6-2-3 overall and 1-0-2 in league play.

How It Happened
The Ramblers came out on their toes and set the tone for the match early, holding off Saint Louis for nearly 80 minutes.

Harris scored early for the Ramblers off a beautiful through ball from senior middie Taylor Harrison, her first assist of the season. She found the back left of the night, out of reach of Billikens goalkeeper Emily Puricelli.

In the second half, Loyola shut out Saint Louis until the 80th minute when a handball in the Ramblers' box drew a penalty kick for the Billikens, taken by Lyndsey Heckel who leveled the match.

The draw result disrupts Saint Louis' A-10 regular season nine-match winning streak against league opponents.
