RICHMOND, Va.– In its fourth consecutive draw against Atlantic 10 opponents, Loyola Chicago outshot VCU 22-11 with nine shots on-frame on Thursday, Oct. 3.
"We found our stride in the second half, created a lot of chances, but unfortunately, we couldn't find the back net tonight," said head coach Angela Staveskie. "We had 17 shots in the second half and narrowly missed on a few. We will continue to trust the process and believe the goals will come."
The Ramblers are now 6-2-4 overall and 1-0-3 in league play.
How It Happened
After a tame first half, the Ramblers exploded in the second with 17 shots, 10 more than the Rams.
Sophomore forward Zoe Hevey hit a season high seven shots to match her career high and freshman forward Jocelyn Leigh made a career high four shots.
Loyola's goalkeeper Allison Deardorff made three big saves to maintain the shutout against VCU, her seventh shutout of the season and her career.
