Scouting George Mason
Saturday's meeting will be the first ever meeting between the Ramblers and George Mason. The game will be Loyola's second-ever game in the state of Virginia, having won at William & Mary, 71-66, on Feb. 23, 2008. The Patriots enter the game 9-6 overall and 1-1 in Atlantic 10 play, opening conference play with a win over Richmond before falling at St. Bonaventure last time out. Four George Mason players average in double figures, led by Victory Bailey Jr.'s 13.1 points per game while Josh Oduro (12.8), DeVon Cooper (10.7) and Ronald Polite III (10.2) also score 10 or more points per game. Oduro leads the rebounding efforts while 6.9 rebounds per contest while Polite dishes out a team-leading 3.8 assists per game. As a team, the Patriots are second in the A10 in 3-point field goal percentage, connecting at a 36.8% clip.
