CHICAGO (January 13, 2023) – Loyola University Chicago makes a quick trip to Philadelphia on Saturday, Jan. 14, when the Ramblers square off against Saint Joseph's. Tip-off inside Hagan Arena is set for 11:30 a.m. (CT). Paul Burmeister and John Giannini will have the call of the game on USA. Saturday's game will also be broadcast on the Rambler Sports Network with Scott Sudikoff and Christian Thomas broadcasting the action live.

Last Time Out
Tom Welch scored a season-high 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting as the Ramblers dropped a 78-64 decision at home to VCU on Tuesday, Jan. 10. Loyola shot 60% from the floor in the first half, including 66.7% (4-of-6) from 3-point range to stay within striking distance of the Rams, but 22 turnovers by the Ramblers proved to be too much to overcome.
Philip Alston scored 15 points, all in the second half, while
Braden Norris added 14 points and four assists in the contest.

Loyola – Saint Joseph's – The Series
Saturday's meeting will be the fourth meeting in program history between the Ramblers and Hawks. Loyola dropped the first two meetings, a neutral site game on Nov. 18, 2016 and a road loss on Dec. 22, 2018, before rebounding with an 85-68 home win on Nov. 16, 2019. Marquise Kennedy scored 16 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal and was 1-of-4 Loyola players to finish in double figures, led by Cameron Krutwig's game-high 24 points and seven assists.

Scouting Saint Joseph's
Both teams will be looking for their first conference win of the season as Saint Joseph's enters the game an identical 6-10 overall and 0-4 in Atlantic 10 play. Erik Reynolds II leads all Hawks players with 17.4 points per game, fourth-best in the league, while Cameron Brown averages 14.3 points and a team-leading 6.3 rebounds per contest. As a team, the Hawks fire off 26.2 3-point attempts per game, tops in the conference and 29th nationally. Cameron Brown averages 3.06 made 3-pointers per contest, the 24th best mark in the country. Billy Lange is in his fourth season at the helm of the Saint Joseph's program, returning to the college ranks after spending six seasons on the bench of the Philadelphia 76ers.
