Loyola defeats Purdue Northwest in Preseason Exhibition

Loyola University Chicago played its lone preseason exhibition contest Sunday afternoon with a 73-65 exhibition win over Purdue Northwest at Gentile Arena. Junior forward Sitori Tanin logged a double-double effort with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while senior guards Sam Galanopoulos and Anna Brown reached double digits with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
 
How It Happened
Loyola extended its three-point lead at halftime to as much as 14 in the fourth quarter, thanks to a 10-0 scoring run. Tanin recorded six points in the fourth quarter, including a layup to give Loyola a 65-51 lead with under seven minutes left. The Pride chipped away to get within five with Loyola leading 67-62 near the two-minute mark, but the Ramblers closed out the game at the free-throw line.
