CHICAGO (January 17, 2021)

th straight win at home. The Ramblers, who connected on 11 of 20 tries (.550) from three-point range today, have won seven of their last eight games overall including each of the last three.
Coach Moser's Thoughts
"It was one of those days where we made some shots. We have so much respect for Northern Iowa and I thought our guys came out with a good edge today."
How It Happened
After getting off to a cool start in the first half yesterday, the Ramblers came out on fire offensively, hitting five of their first six shots from the field, including all three of their triple tries. Three straight three-pointers, from
Braden Norris,
Lucas Williamson and
Keith Clemons, turned a five-point deficit into a 13-9 Loyola lead in the early going.
Northern Iowa countered by going on as 10-2 run of its own to open up a 19-15 advantage with 12:17 remaining in the opening period.
A
Marquise Kennedy layup ignited a half-closing 24-5 run highlighted by seven points from
Cameron Krutwig, to take a 39-24 lead into the locker room at the half. Loyola's defense held the Panthers without a field goal for the final 8:17 of the first period, and just one field goal over the final 10:55.
Noah Carter opened the second-half scoring with a three to bring Northern Iowa within 12 (39-27), but five straight points from Norris started a 18-2 spurt that featured back-to-back treys from
Tate Hall, as the Ramblers extended their advantage to 57-29 just four minutes into the period, and that blow put the game out of reach. Loyola was white-hot from the field, connecting on its first 11 attempts to open the stanza, including each of its first five trey attempts, as well as its first five shots from the foul line.
The Ramblers led by as many as 42 points (86-44) in the second half and they did not miss a second-half shot until 10:33 left in the period.
