GAINESVILLE, Fla. (December 6, 2017)

In Short
Aundre Jackson scored 23 points and Cameron Krutwig added 14 points and eight rebounds to spark Loyola University Chicago (9-1) to a 65-59 victory over No. 5 Florida (5-3) tonight at Exactech Arena. The win is the Ramblers' first over a ranked team since stopping No. 15 Butler in 2009 and first over a top five team since knocking off No. 4 Illinois in 1984.

Coach Moser's Thoughts
"We have all the respect in the world for Florida and Coach White. I'm just so proud of my guys for the effort they put forth tonight. This is a huge win for our program and we hope this makes the fire burn brighter in our guys moving forward."

How It Happened
Loyola got off to a blistering start as Aundre Jackson, who earlier in the day was battling illness, but came out on fire, tallying 11 of the Ramblers' first 15 points, hitting a trio of three-pointers in the process, as LU built a 15-8 advantage.

The Ramblers continued to shoot the ball well and held the host Gators in check and another three, this one from Donte Ingram, stretched Loyola's lead to 27-14, its largest of the half, with 10 minutes remaining.

Florida turned up the pressure and went on an 8-0 run to slice the Loyola lead to 27-22, but the Ramblers answered right back with a basket by Clayton Custer and a shot-clock beating three from Ingram to push the lead back to double figures (32-22). But, the Gators respond with eight unanswered tallies to get within a point before Marques Townes buried a runner in the lane just before the first-half horn to send Loyola into the locker room on top, 34-31.

After Florida took its first lead since early in the first half by going ahead 39-38 in the opening minutes of the second period, Loyola responded by going on an 11-4 run that put it back on top, 49-43.

The Ramblers led by as many as seven points (61-54) in the second half but the Gators mounted one last surge, cutting the Loyola lead to 61-59 on Chris Chiozza's layup with 1:29 remaining. But, the Loyola defense stiffened and Cameron Satterwhite stepped up and went 4-for-4 from the foul line in the final 16 seconds to send the Ramblers to their biggest win in 30 years.

A Look At The Numbers
