CHICAGO (December 14, 2017) - After a week off for final exams, Loyola looks to close out the non-conference portion of the regular season on a high note when it visits former conference mate Milwaukee Saturday afternoon. The Ramblers, who have prevailed in 15 of their last 17 games versus non-Missouri Valley Conference foes, are seeking their fourth straight win overall. At 10-1, Loyola is off to its best start through 11 games since 1965-66 when it won 10 of its first 11 contests and went on to earn a NCAA Tournament berth. The Ramblers opened the 2017-18 season with seven straight wins, marking just the fourth time since World War II that they have achieved that feat. Loyola enters this weekend's action ranked No. 3 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.

Scouting Milwaukee
After opening the season with four wins in the first five outings, Milwaukee has stumbled to a 2-4 mark in the last half dozen contests. The Panthers are coming off an 82-63 setback at Belmont on Wednesday evening. Milwaukee is 3-2 at home this season, but suffered a 68-64 loss to Montana State in its last game at UWM Panther Arena on December 2. The Panthers are coached by Pat Baldwin, who spent seven seasons as an assistant coach at Loyola (2004-11) under head coach Jim Whitesell. During Baldwin's time on staff, the Ramblers posted a 109-107 (.505) record. Milwaukee assistant coach Pat Monaghan was also on Whitesell's staff at Loyola, serving as director of basketball operations from 2010 to 2012. Three Panthers average double-digit points, led by redshirt junior guard Brock Stull (12.3 ppg), who is also grabbing 4.2 rebounds per outing. Stull has missed the last two games with an injury.
