CHICAGO (November 30, 2017) - After three straight games away from home, Loyola returns to Gentile Arena, where it has won six in a row, to host crosstown rival and former conference mate, UIC. The Ramblers have won eight consecutive non-conference games versus in-state rivals since a 55-49 loss to Northern Illinois on December 18, 2013. Loyola is 12-2 in its last 14 games versus non-Missouri Valley opponents.

Series Stuff
Loyola and UIC are meeting for the 55th time in a series that traces its roots to 1986. The Ramblers have won nine of the last 11 versus the Flames, including each of the last four. The Ramblers are 15-11 against the Flames on their home floor and have won five straight versus UIC at Gentile Arena. Loyola's last loss to UIC in Rogers Park was a 62-58 setback on February 27, 2009.

Loyola won a thriller on the Near West Side last December as
Donte Ingram drained a three-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime and the Ramblers went on to earn an 81-75 victory at the UIC Pavilion.
Milton Doyle tallied a team-high 22 points, while Ingram added 20, to lead Loyola.

Ten of the last 12 meetings between the teams have been decided by 10 or fewer points, with four of those games being decided by five points or less. Since joining the Missouri Valley Conference for the 2013-14 season, Loyola has gone 8-1 against Horizon League schools, with the lone loss coming at the hands of Cleveland State (60-54) on December 16, 2015.

Since a 95-55 victory over Delaware State on November 16, UIC has dropped its last three games by an average of 23.7 points. The Flames are 0-2 on the road this season and dating back to last year, have lost six straight on the road since recording a 74-69 win at Detroit Mercy on February 17. Â Three UIC players are averaging double-figure points, led by junior Dikembe Dixson, who is contributing 12.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. As a team, the Flames are shooting just 40.3 percent from the field and 29.8 percent from three-point range.
