CHICAGO (November 26, 2017) -
Loyola puts its unblemished record on the line Tuesday when it travels to Boise State for a Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge Series game. The Ramblers have split their first two MWC/MVC Challenge Series games, falling at New Mexico in 2015 before disposing of San Diego State last season in Chicago. At 7-0, Loyola is off to its best start since going 7-0 to open the 2010-11 campaign. Loyola has started a season 7-0 just four times since World War II and a win at Boise State would give the Ramblers their first 8-0 start since winning their opening 21 games of the 1962-63 campaign. Loyola has opened 8-0 just twice since World War II.

Series Stuff
Loyola and Boise State are meeting for just the second time and the first since December 23, 2014, when they squared off in the Las Vegas Classic. The Ramblers won the previous meeting between the teams, 48-45, as they rallied from an eight-point, second-half deficit with Christian Thomas scoring 13 of his team-high 17 points in the second period. Loyola is 9-4 all-time against current members of the Mountain West Conference.

Scouting Boise State

The Broncos are unbeaten in three games at Taco Bell Arena this season and have won seven of their last eight at home dating back to 2016-17.  Four players are scoring in double digits for Boise State, led by sophomore guard Justinian Jessup (13.8 ppg). Senior Chandler Hutchison pitches in 12.0 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Last season, Boise State dropped a 72-67 decision at Evansville in the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge Series.
