"Defensively, I liked our effort. We were active. We couldn't finish a lot in transition, but defensively, it created a lot of transition for us."

On Jordan Hicks
"He's definitely given us a bounce. Before, we were deferring everything to our guards and now we've got a guy out there who's going to take the shot when it's available. I thought he played really well in the first half. He did a really nice job defending. It looked like they were trying to post up on him, but he didn't let it in there. I thought Justin Cerasoli really played well. J.R. Blount had a good second half. We were able to play a lot of guys. John Benkoske keeps getting more and more minutes."

On the team's improved play
"We're playing better basketball and that's the key. We're playing with more confidence, and defensively we're playing better. Having Hicks in the lineup has helped us. He's given us a nice bump and a little more athleticism."
