Loyola University Chicago (9-5, 1-3 Horizon) dropped its third straight game in a 77-63 decision at Wright State (6-6, 3-0 Horizon) tonight at the Nutter Center.

The Ramblers fell behind 7-0 to start the game, then turned an 11-9 deficit into a 16-11 lead thanks to a pair of baskets from Leon Young and a three-pointer from Majak Kou. Loyola led by as many as six points (22-16) in the first half, but was outscored 12-2 over the final 5:34 of the period as Wright State took a 28-24 lead into the break.

Tom Levin's lay-up to start the second half brought the Ramblers within in a basket, but Jordan Pleiman ignited a 12-0 run by scoring seven consecutive points as the Raiders seized a commanding 40-26 advantage. Loyola would get no closer than nine points the rest of the way.

Freshman guard J.R. Blount scored a team-high 20 points and added four rebounds for Loyola, while Blake Schilb added 15 points, six boards and four assists. He has now scored in double digits in 37 of the last 38 games. Majak Kou chipped in 11 points and five rebounds off the bench.

DaShaun Wood scored a game-high 22 points and added seven rebounds, four steals and a pair of assists to lead four Wright State players who scored in double figures.

Loyola concludes its three-game road trip when it travels to preseason Horizon League favorite UW-Milwaukee on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
