Sean Palacios

Sean Palacios joined Loyola Chicago's women's soccer squad in March 2025 as the program's third assistant coach. Palacios, a Chicago, Ill. native, brings a wealth of experience to Rogers Park, having an extensive coaching career for the past 15 years across various levels.

Palacios has coached eight teams to an Illinois State Championship on the club side, a Girls Academy National Championship in 2024, was the head coach at Saint Ignatius College Prep from 2016-2019, where he was named coach of the year in 2017 by IHSCAA, and was part of the University of Chicago men's soccer staff which was awarded the Coaching Staff of the Year in 2016. Palacios has also spent time with the Chicago Fire Academy.  

He currently serves as the Senior Girls Director at Chicago FC United Soccer Club, a founding member of the Girls Developmental Academy and now the Girls Academy. Palacios oversees the growth of players, coaches and teams at Chicago FC United. He has spent the past decade developing players to the collegiate level, and his former players are contributing to numerous programs across the country. 
 
Palacios was a member of the Western Illinois men's soccer team that competed in the NCAA tournament and won the Mid-Con Tournamentin in 2005 and 2006. He also holds a USSF C coaching license.
