Loyola Chicago takes its first road test at Central Michigan on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 12 p.m. CT in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
QUICK KICKS
- In their first meeting in over a decade, Loyola fell 2-0 in a season-opening loss to Northwestern on Thursday, Aug. 14 at Hoyne Field.
- Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Allison Deardorff tallied three saves while Loyola's offense totaled nine shots, three on target.
- Four new Ramblers made their first career starts: graduate student Mia Lanni, seniors Angelina Perritano and Molly Pistorius and freshman Abby Sudkamp, who played the full-90 on the pitch.
- Sophomore defender Catherine Cline made her Loyola debut with her first career start, clocking in all 90 minutes, and freshman forward Ava Fleming saw her first minutes in the Maroon and Gold with 26 minutes in the second half.
- Loyola was picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.
- The Ramblers welcomed 10 newcomers to their 2025 roster, including five true freshmen and five transfers while 18 Ramblers returned.
- At the helm of the program is head coach Jon Sandoval in his first season at Loyola.
SCOUTING REPORT
Central Michigan opened its season with a 2-0 loss to Butler on Thursday, Aug. 14. Junior goalkeeper Brylee Borgman led the Chippewas with eight saves while the offense totaled three shots, one on goal. The team, who welcomed 15 newcomers in 2025, was picked to finish 12th in the 13-team Mid-American Conference Preseason Poll.
SERIES HISTORY
The Ramblers lead the all-time series against the Chippewas, 3-2, with the last meeting occurring in 2017 and ending in a 2-1 overtime victory for Central Michigan.
