Loyola Chicago Preps for Saint Joseph's Thursday

CHICAGO - Atlantic 10 action returns to Loyola Soccer Park this week with a pair of matches for the Ramblers. First on the slate, Loyola Chicago welcomes Saint Joseph's Thursday night for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Loyola is looking for its first league win of the season after playing to a 0-0 draw at Duquesne and dropping a nail biter to Saint Louis last week. The Hawks took a 3-2 edge over Richmond Sunday for their only conference win.

Thursday's match is in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness. The Ramblers will lace up their cleats with yellow laces to help bring awareness to the illness and cause.

QUICK KICKS
• Loyola opened A10 play last week with Saint Louis at home and Duquesne on the road. The Ramblers went toe-to-toe with No. 24 Saint Louis nearly forcing a draw. The Billikens managed a goal in the final 10 minutes to take the three points in conference standings.
• The Ramblers traveled to Duquesne over the weekend and put up another 18 shots for their third match this season with over 15. Despite a couple attempts off the crossbar and posts, the Dukes were able to hold Loyola off and force a 0-0 draw. It was the first tie for the Ramblers. Jadyn Harris led Loyola off the bench with five shots.
Taylor Harrison has been Loyola's go-to scorer. She has four goals this season bringing her career total up to 11. Harrison is one goal away from cracking into the program's career top-10 list. In the A10, Harrison's four goals is tied third on the leader boards. Two of those goals are game-winners, which ranks first in the conference.
Zoe Hevey has made an impact for the Ramblers in her freshman campaign. She is second on the team with seven points. Hevey has scored a pair of goals and assisted three times so far this year. Hevey netted the game winner vs. Western Illinois and assisted twice vs. Ball State helping her to a Rookie of the Week nod. Hevey currently ranks third in shots per game (2.7) and shots on goal per game (1.5)
Amanda Cassidy notched her 12th goal of her career in a 3-2 loss to Wisconsin. The goal tied her for 10th all-time in program history.
• The program picked up its 250th win since its inception inn 1992. Loyola used a late goal from Harrison at DePaul to claim the Red Line Rivalry bragging rights.
Barry Bimbi enters his 13th season as head coach of the Ramblers. Bimbi notched his 100th career win last year and sits at 110-95-35 overall.

SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
The Hawks enter the week coming off their first win of the season after downing Richmond, 3-2. Saint Joseph's sits at 1-5-4 having tied William & Mary, Lehigh, Temple, and Rhode Island this year. The Hawks have struggled to find the back of the net with only six goals forced, while allowing 15.

HAWKS TO WATCH
• Maddie Anderson is tied as the team-leader with four points on two goals this year. Both her goals came in the Hawks' 3-2 win at Richmond Sunday leading her to the Offensive Player of the Week award. The senior defender has started all 10 matches for Saint Joseph's.
• Chloe Khelil matches Anderson's point and goal total with four points off two goals. She scored one helping tie Temple and another in the win at Richmond. Khelil has made 10 starts this year at defender.
• In goal, Katie Cappelletti has 900 minutes logged. Cappelletti has given up 15 goals on 138 shots faced. The senior keeper has 52 saves for a 77.6 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series is tied 1-1-0. Loyola Chicago took the first win in the series back in the '90s, but Saint Joseph's evened it with a win last year. The Hawks scored in the 83rd minute and held a 12-9 advantage on shots.
