Women's Soccer Closes Regular Season Road Action at La Salle

CHICAGO - The Ramblers open the final week of regular season action on the road Thursday. Loyola Chicago heads to a second-place La Salle squad. Loyola looks to rebound from a loss at Dayton over the weekend, while La Salle rides a seven-match win streak into Thursday. Kickoff between the Ramblers and Explorers is 6 p.m. CT.

QUICK KICKS
• The Ramblers enter the week sitting eighth in the Atlantic 10 standings and look to keep the postseason on their schedule with two matches left to play. Loyola heads to second place La Salle on Thursday before  returning home to host ninth place VCU Sunday. Loyola needs to remain in eighth or move up in the standings to play in the A10 Tournament kicking off Oct. 27.
• It was lucky number seven last week against Richmond at home. The Ramblers tallied their seventh win and seventh shutout of the year. Naya Lipkens has all seven shutouts in goal, while Taylor Harrison's seventh goal of the year is what clinched the 1-0 win.
• Lipkens is tied second in the A10 with seven shutouts. She is just one shy of matching the league leader. With the Ramblers, she has 13 shutouts. Spanning her five-year career with SJU and Loyola, Lipkens has 29 shutouts.
• Harrison's seven goals is a season-high for the junior forward. She currently leads the Ramblers and ranks third in the A10 behind two Saint Louis players who have nine and eight goals, respectively.
• Hevey leads the Ramblers and is third in the conference with six assists. It also ranks inside the NCAA top-50 at 48th in the country. Four of her six assists have all been on Harrison goals, including two game-winners.
Maggie Schmidt scored her first career goal and game-winner at Davidson on Oct. 8  propelling Loyola to its second A10 win of the season. Schmidt's goal came with just under two minutes left in the match and earned her Rookie of the Week honors. She is the third different Rambler Rookie to earn the award this season.

• Loyola has outshot its opponent nine times this season, including a season-high 25 shots vs. Western Illinois. The Ramblers also surpassed the 20-shot mark with 24 at DePaul. Loyola is third in the A10 with 112 total shots on goal. In league-only play, they average 7.5 sog for third in the conference
