CHICAGO (March 4, 2021) – After extending its unbeaten run against Missouri Valley Conference foes to 15 games last weekend, the Loyola University Chicago women's soccer team (0-0-1. 0-0-1 MVC) is back in action on Friday when it plays host to Drake in Loves Park, Ill.  Kickoff from inside the Mercyhealth Sportscore Two in set for 2:30 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: Loyola outshot host Missouri State by a staggering 19-0 margin, but was unable to find a winner as it settled for a 0-0 double-overtime draw with the Bears last Sunday in Springfield, Mo.  Sophomore Megan Nemec racked up a team-best six attempts, putting four on goal, to pace the attack for the Maroon & Gold.
 
vs. Drake: Drake enters Friday's matchup at 0-1-0 (0-1-0 MVC) after falling to Indiana State, 1-0, this past Sunday in Terre Haute, Ind.  Veteran head coach Lindsey Horner's team was voted fourth in the MVC Preseason Poll, with Abby Stephenson, Hannah Bormann, and Delaney Goertzen all earning Preseason All-Valley accolades.  Kelsie Stone returns in goal for Drake following a junior campaign in which she finished with an MVC-best 0.808 save percentage.
 
Series Stuff: Loyola and Drake will battle for the 13^th time on Friday, a series in which Loyola owns a slim 5-4-3 (.542) edge in.  The Ramblers have dominated the series of late, winning four straight against their neighbors to the west.  Loyola picked up a pair of victories against Drake last season, earning a 3-0 win during the regular season ahead of a 1-0 triumph in the semifinals of the MVC Women's Soccer Championship.
