CHICAGO (October 13, 2017) – The Loyola University Chicago women's soccer team will step outside of Missouri Valley Conference play on Sunday when it visits Lexington, Ky. to take on the Kentucky Wildcats in a 1 p.m. (CT) kickoff at the Bell Soccer Complex.

vs. Kentucky: Kentucky enters Sunday's matinee with a record of 7-9-0 on the year. That mark includes a 2-5-0 ledger in league play that has the team in ninth in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) table. The Wildcats dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting Missouri this past Thursday at the Bell Soccer Complex. Miranda Jimenez found the back of the net in the 53rd minute to notch the lone goal for Kentucky. Jiminez currently resides as part of a three-way tie for first atop the Kentucky scoring chart, alongside Eva Mitchell and Tanya Samarzich. All three members of the trio have netted three goals to pace the attack in the offensive third for first-year head coach Ian Carry's team. Evangeline Soucie has been a fixture in goal this season for the Wildcats, starting in all 16 contests between the pipes. Soucie's sports a 1.28 goals against average to go along with a 0.730 save percentage.
Series Stuff: Loyola and Kentucky will meet for only the second time on Sunday afternoon in Lexington. The Wildcats prevailed by a final count of 1-0 in the first and only previous clash between the two schools back on Sept. 2, 2007 as part of the Boilermaker Challenge Cup in West Lafayette, Ind. Loyola will be in search of its first victory over a current SEC member institution on Sunday. The Ramblers are winless in their previous 11 tries against schools from the league.
After This: The Ramblers return home next Saturday (Oct. 21) to host Northern Iowa at 5 p.m. Loyola will honor its five seniors in a special ceremony prior to kickoff.
